Amazon will stop accepting Visa credit cards in the UK from January 19, 2022, the online retail giant has said in an email to UK customers, citing high visa fee charges. “Starting 19 January, 2022, we will unfortunately no longer accept Visa credit cards issued in the UK  due to the high fees Visa charges for processing credit card transactions,” the email said, as per the BBC. Visa credit cards issued outside of the UK will be exempt. “You can still use debit cards (including Visa debit cards) and non-Visa credit cards like Mastercard, Amex, and Eurocard to make purchases,” Amazon said in its email to some customers.
