Who knew your clothes washing machine can create water damage in your home? The cause of the problem comes from the hose that connects to the water system; it can rupture or split. The damage occurs if the hose is left under pressure and it lets loose while no one is home and water flows through the house for hours. The result can be a major mess and damage to flooring, walls and furnishings.
A washer safety valve prevents that from happening because it’s a leak detection system that automatically shuts off the water whenever it detects a leak in the washing machine. The safety valve allows water to flow to the machine only on demand, so the hoses aren’t left under pressure.
