On July 7, which was the 85th anniversary of the “humiliating” Marco Polo Bridge Incident, the Education Bureau (EDB) took the opportunity to announce the “mainland study tour” scheme under the new subject of Citizenship and Social Development (CSD). The 57-page document says that all students are required to go to mainland China once during their three years of study in the subject, and all expenses are paid by EDB. 21 trips ranging from two to five days are offered to schools….
