July 1, 2022 was the 25th anniversary since Hong Kong handover to Chinese Communist Party (CCP). China leader Xi Jinping and his wife visited Hong Kong for two days to participate in the July 1 activities, but stays in Shenzhen overnight.
Meanwhile, Xi gave a speech as soon as he arrived at the high-speed rail station in Hong Kong. Greeted by Carrie Lam and her husband, Xi expressed his joy of being on Hongkong soil again. He claimed he cares about Hong Kong and how much he has missed it. Unexpectedly Xi mentioned the “challenges” Hongkongers have faced, and overcome in the past few years—which shows Hong Kong has now risen from the ashes. Xi continued to convince Hongkongers that “one country, two systems” have been the strength to safeguard Hong Kong’s long-living propensity and its people’s well-being….
