The Post-War Liberal Economic Order
Recall that the United States led the U.N. foundation in 1945 after the Second World War. The U.N. was followed by the Soviet Union, the United Kingdom, China, and France.
Dominated by the United States, the U.N. quickly became the most powerful and influential institution in the world. It made perfect sense that it would be based in New York, the most important city of the most powerful and influential nation on Earth.
