LOS ANGELES—The top two candidates in City Council District 11, municipal attorney Traci Park and civil lawyer Erin Darling, aim to tackle sprawling homelessness as they advance to the general election in November.
District 11 is one of LA’s 15 districts that encompass the westside of the city to the Pacific Ocean. Current incumbent Mike Bonin, who was first elected in 2013, announced in January he would not be seeking reelection due to mental health concerns.
Park—who fiscally out-campaigned Darling—slightly trailed behind him with 31.1 percent of the vote, while Darling received 31.39 percent of votes. No other candidate in the primary field received more than 10 percent of the voting results….
