Sen. Lindsay Graham (R-S.C.) on Sunday said he spoke with former President Donald Trump and said the former commander-in-chief is “ready to move on” after he was acquitted by the Senate in his second impeachment trial. The former president “was grateful to his lawyers, he appreciated the help that all of us have provided,” said Graham in a Fox News interview, and he added that “he’s ready to move on and rebuild the Republican Party, he’s excited about 2022 and I’m going to go down to talk with him next week.” Graham, the ranking Republican on the Senate Judiciary Committee, said Trump is “mad at some folks” in the Republican party for going along with the impeachment effort.
