A 26-year-old suspect was arrested Monday in connection to a shooting on Sunday morning that left six people dead and more wounded in downtown Sacramento, police announced. Dandre Martin, the suspect, was taken into custody on charges of assault with a firearm and being a prohibited person in possession of a firearm, Police Chief Kathy Lester told KCRA 3 on Monday. “Right now that’s really all we’re able to share about him,” Lester said. “As you know this is a complex investigation and we’re looking for multiple suspects and so we’re currently working to identify what his role was the night of the shooting.” In a news release from the police department, Martin is being classified as a “related suspect.” “Investigators worked through the night into the early morning hours of April 4, 2022 processing the horrific K Street Shooting scene.
