At least eight people were killed by Russian shelling that struck a shopping mall on the outskirts of Kyiv, local authorities said, also heavily damaging nearby residential buildings. A video released by the Russian Ministry of Defence showed a large blast outside the Retroville shopping center in the Podilskyi district on March 20. Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Maj. Gen. Igor Konashenkov alleged on Monday that Ukrainian forces used the shopping mall to reload multiple rocket launchers and store rockets used for shelling Russian troops.
