Eighteen-year-old Jessie Rose, a senior at Laguna Beach High School in Southern California, felt inspired to write a poem. “When my world seems to be collapsing, I know you are always there for me. You make me work for your love, but the suffering is worth it,” she wrote. Rose told The Epoch Times that the poem, “Ode to Running,” offers a powerful reflection of who she is: a passionate athlete, driven to succeed and willing to work for it.
