POMONA—Three people are in custody on Feb. 24 after police arrested them on drug and weapons charges in Pomona. San Dimas resident Daniel Angulo, 32, and Pomona residents Jesse Quinteros, 38, and Rachelle Lopez, 41, were arrested on various drug and weapons charges, authorities said. Angulo was also arrested for being a felon in possession of a firearm, and Lopez was arrested for transport of a controlled substance with intent to distribute. Patrol officers with the Pomona Police Department observed the driver of a white Dodge Challenger committing an unsafe driving maneuver and a traffic violation around 10:50 p.m. on Wednesday in the area of Mayfair and White avenues, said Pomona Sgt. Mark Medellin. Officers followed the Challenger and observed a second traffic violation when Quinteros—the driver—began driving above the posted speed limit.
