Around 50 percent of donations to the Freedom Convoy anti-mandate protests in Canada have come from small donations made from the United States, according to the crowdfunding platform GiveSendGo. There was “a pretty even split between donations coming from Canada and donations coming from the U.S.,” said Jacob Wells, CFO and co-founder of GiveSendGo, to Fox Business. Wells added, “The average donation was quite small–less than $100.” The Freedom Convoy’s GiveSendGo campaign page shows that it has raised over $9.44 million so far, meeting 58 percent of its target goal of $16 million. Over 107,000 people had contributed money to the cause, with almost 42,000 sending their prayers as of Feb. 16.
