PUNTA GORDA, Fla. – Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) met with faith leaders and Cuban Americans who were part of a youth airlift some 60 years ago, to discuss the border crisis and the Biden administration’s reckless policies that endanger migrant children. DeSantis said at a roundtable discussion on Feb. 7 that “failed border policies” are “endangering migrant children” and the nation as a whole by promoting human trafficking, which has risen 35 percent in Fiscal Year 2021, from FY 2020, according to the Department of Homeland Security.
