Commentary It’s a measure of how thoroughly the left controls public discourse that diversity on the Supreme Court is being discussed entirely in racial and gender terms. I prefer that justices be appointed solely on merit and judicial philosophy. If, however, President Joe Biden thinks the court should “look more like America,” then he needs to consider candidates from groups other than African-American women—groups largely or entirely excluded from the court, although more numerous than African-American women.
