Former President Donald Trump on Jan. 29 floated pardoning people facing charges linked to the Jan. 6, 2021, breach of the U.S. Capitol. Speaking at a rally in Texas, Trump said he may use pardons if he wins the 2024 presidential election. “If I run, and I win, we will treat those people from Jan. 6 fairly.
