The two largest U.S. teachers unions used the COVID-19 pandemic to advance a planned agenda for radical changes to public schools. This included pushing critical race theory and trans activism policies while at the same time dismantling education standards by abandoning basic skills like math and reading. According to Eric Eggers, vice president of the Government Accountability Institute, which investigated this issue, these teachers unions have been using the pandemic to expand both their powers and their agenda.
