Hong Kong Rights group have issued a joint statement on Friday expressing “grave concerns” over the safety of expats in the UK. It comes as a number of Hongkongers were allegedly attacked and as social media messages were posted recruiting Chinese “patriots” to attack Hongkongers and offering rewards for doxing activists. The statement, signed by dozens of Hong Kong, Chinese ethnic minority, and east Asian rights groups, said a bounty was put on two prominent exiled Hong Kong advocates, offering £10,000 ($13,232.5) to anyone who could offer their UK addresses.
