Chinese private tech giants are reacting after TikTok, Kwai, and Pingduoduo saw their founders and CEOs leave directorship one by one. On Nov. 2, Liang Rupo issued his first internal letter as CEO of Bytedance, Beijing-based network tech developer, signaling Zhang Yiming, the former CEO who announced his resignation in May, had completed the job transition and officially stepped down.  Zhao Zhi, Chinese social media commentator, told Radio Free Asia that he believes that 38-year-old Zhang Yiming’s decision to step down as CEO of his own company was not out of business considerations.
