NORFOLK, Virginia—The classical Chinese dance and music company, Shen Yun Performing Arts, provided a wonderful opportunity for the Crimmins and Higgins families to come together and share China’s ancient culture. Elizabeth Higgins said that the performance had her “exceeded expectations” after experiencing Shen Yun on Nov. 6 at Norfolk’s Chrysler Hall. Shen Yun’s dancers and musicians portray China’s spiritual, moral, and traditional culture, which the ancient Chinese believe was a gift from the divine. “I like the message; that there’s something bigger than us.
