Joe Oliver: Very Close Race Former Conservative MP and minister of finance The polls show that the Conservatives have lost their momentum, at least temporarily. And I don’t know if you would say that the Liberals have momentum, but they’ve stanched the flow. It’s getting razor-thin in the polls, and the Conservatives would appear to be behind in seats, because they need a three- or four-point advantage to be ahead on seats.
