Recently, Wisconsin-based nonprofit Mythinformed, which works to limit the effects of authoritarian ideology, posted a tweet warning that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) in Beijing is “promoting woke ideology” targeting American children, referring to a cartoon video created by the regime’s English-language broadcaster China Global Television Network (CGTN) in September 2020. CGTN promoted critical race theory (CRT) in its four-minute video and encouraged parents to shape their children into racial activists.
