New Zealand has confirmed that its first case of the CCP virus that forced the country into a stage four lockdown on Monday is the Delta variant and that it originated from Sydney, Australia. Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern confirmed on Aug. 18 that the source of the cases in Auckland was genomically linked to the current outbreak in Australia’s New South Wales.
