Commentary Although it is still difficult to fully assess the impact of the CCP Virus that broke out in late 2019 and continues until this day, its many effects on the Chinese Communist (CCP) regime are clearly visible. Four Characteristics of the 2020 Pandemic First, the severity of the pandemic was the worst since the CCP took over China. It was many times worse than the SARS pandemic in 2003. The virus also forced the CCP to fully lock down Wuhan, a megacity of millions of people, from January 23 to April 7—a total of 76 days. Second, the pandemic has continued on.
