Two Pennsylvania state representatives are attempting to ban the teaching of critical race theory (CRT) in the state’s schools, with the introduction of a bill aimed at “prohibiting the teaching, funding, or dissemination of racist and sexist concepts,” according to a statement on June 4. House Bill 1532, or the Teaching Racial and Universal Equality (TRUE) Act, was introduced by state Reps. Russ Diamond and Barbara Gleim, both Republicans.
