Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-Texas) reacted to a judge dismissing his electoral-vote-related lawsuit, suggesting that courts’ refusal to hear it means that conservatives don’t have any legal recourse moving forward. As a result, according to Gohmert, more and more Americans may resort to violence and threats to get what they want. He argued that it’s because Constitutionally-granted institutions are failing to resolve disputes. “The bottom line is the court is saying, ‘We’re not going to touch this. You have no remedy,'” Gohmert told Newsmax on Saturday. “Essentially, the ruling would be: ‘You have to go to the streets and be as violent as Antifa, BLM,'” he added, referring to the anarcho-communist group Antifa and the Black Lives Matter movement.
