A woman who was repeatedly criticized for being “ugly” and “stupid” while growing up has risen above the bullies and proved them wrong. At the age of 58, she achieved her doctorate in psychology, and after a radical makeover, she can say with confidence that she is beautiful. Dr. Feresh, who was born in Iran, ended up in “Makeover Guy” Christopher Hopkins’s Minneapolis, Minnesota, studio in August for a stunning transformation. “I feel young in spirit,” Dr. Feresh told Hopkins’s studio cameras. “It’s very important for everybody to feel young, not by number but how you feel.” Hopkins tackled Dr. Feresh’s graying roots by blending them into her long locks with a warm brown color.
