After her four-day trip to Beijing, U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen said she told Chinese officials that U.S. national security will not be compromised.
In an interview with CBS on Sunday Ms. Yellen said, “an objective of my trip was to explain that national security is something that we can’t compromise about and we will protect, and we will do so even if it harms our own narrow economic interests.”
Ms. Yellen wrapped up her trip on Sunday after holding talks with several senior Chinese Communist Party (CCP) officials, including Premier Li Qiang, Vice Premier He Lifeng, China’s central bank governor Yi Gang and party secretary Pan Gongsheng, and former Chinese Vice Premier Liu He….
