Canada is a large country with an abundance of hidden gems, and Canada Day is a good reminder to get out and see some of them.
One such jewel is Grasslands National Park, tucked away in southwestern Saskatchewan, not far from the American border. On top of that—literally—is that the park is a so-called Dark Sky Preserve, a designation given by the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada (RASC) in 2009, during the International Year of Astronomy.
