According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), nearly a quarter million Toyota, Kia, and Land Rover vehicles have been recalled over a range of issues, including loss of brake power, malfunctioning taillights, and faulty airbags.
The NHTSA has issued recalls for nearly 99,000 Kia Sportage SUVs, over 96,000 2022 through 2023 Toyota Corolla Cross hybrid SUVs, nearly 13,000 Land Rover Range Rover, and more than 29,600 2017 through 2020 Land Rover Discovery vehicles.
The NHTSA also issued a number of recalls for other vehicles, including 8,281 Mercedes-Benz electric sedans for a software error related to loss of propulsion power; 103 Jayco RVs from 2023 due to the possibility of the solar panel detaching from the pop-up roof; five Subaru Ascent SUVs for defective ball joints; 1,008 Bentley Bentayga due to seat latch issue; 719 Chrysler Alfa Romeo due to broken brake disc; and a recall of the 2023 Bugatti Chiron Super Sport due to incorrect wheel assembly….
