A federal prosecutor who announced before the election that he was probing election fraud allegations in Pennsylvania is resigning. David Freed, U.S. attorney for the Middle District of Pennsylvania, is resigning midnight on Jan. 1, 2021, his office announced Tuesday. Freed was appointed to his position by President Donald Trump, after being nominated by Sens. Pat Toomey (R-Pa.) and Bob Casey (D-Pa.).
