Privacy Commissioner Philippe Dufresne has dismissed all complaints over federal vaccine and quarantine mandates, arguing COVID-19 pandemic measures enforced by the Liberal government were necessary and justifiable under the Privacy Act.
“The urgency of limiting the spread of the virus was understandably a significant challenge for government and public health authorities,” Dufresne wrote in a report published on May 29. “The COVID-19 crisis was a rapidly evolving situation that required swift and effective responses to address extraordinary public health needs.”
The Commissioner issued seven separate reports in response to complaints against COVID-19 measures, according to Blacklock’s Reporter. None of the complaints were upheld….
