Quebec provincial police say they have found a second body in the community where two volunteer firefighters were swept away by floodwaters Monday.
Earlier today, a body believed to be that of the other firefighter was recovered from the Rivière du Gouffre in St-Urbain, Que., northeast of Quebec City.
Police spokeswoman Sgt. Béatrice Dorsainville told reporters that officers in a helicopter spotted the second body early this afternoon, about 500 metres from where the first body was found.
Multiple media have reported that the two missing firefighters were Christopher Lavoie, 23, and Régis Lavoie, 55, who were reportedly not related.
Dorsainville says formal identification of the two people found will be made by a coroner….
