Last week, former president Donald Trump’s lawyers sent a letter (pdf) to House Intel chairman, Rep. Mike Turner (R-Ohio). The letter is remarkable in many ways—yet the media has completely ignored it.
Trump’s lawyers are trying to get Turner and House Republicans to intervene in the Mar-a-Lago documents investigation, as well as to change the laws regarding how classified documents are handled by the executive branch.
Remarkably, that’s an indirect admission that Trump’s Mar-a-Lago documents were, in fact, mishandled, a fact that is blamed in large part on the National Archives and Records Administration. The letter also describes Joe Biden’s own document scandal, and gives us an initial in-depth account of events that led to the FBI’s Mar-a-Lago raid on August 8th of last year….
