Tornados have torn through cities in central Arkansas, as well as parts of eastern Iowa, killing at least three people and injuring hundreds more.
The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences declared a mass casualty event after a “catastrophic” tornado hit Little Rock on Friday, with reports of at least 600 injuries and three deaths, reported CBS19.
Meanwhile, the National Weather Service’s (NWS) Storm Prediction Center (SPC) has also issued a tornado watch for multiple U.S. states in the South and Midwest.
The SPC had warned earlier Friday of a “severe weather outbreak” in the afternoon and evening with “[a]t least a few long-track, strong to potentially violent tornadoes are probable, particularly over portions of the Mid-Mississippi Valley to the Mid-South.”…
