The House Foreign Affairs Committee on March 1 voted to advance a billĀ that would empower President Joe Biden to ban TikTok in the United States.
The committee votedĀ 24-16 along party lines on Wednesday morning, sending the bill to the House floor where it would need approval by a majority of the chamber before moving to the Senate.
