MIAOLI, Taiwan—On the evening of Feb. 25, Shen Yun Performing Arts opened its third of four consecutive performances at the Miaobei Arts Center.
In attendance was traditional Chinese medicine doctor Tingchuan Lu. He was deeply impressed by Shen Yun’s courage to present what other performances dare not—the human rights issue in communist China.
“I have deep respect for these artists and their determination to speak the truth,” he said. “There are very few people who dare to do so. I’m touched by their indomitable spirit.”
Shen Yun was established in 2006 by leading Chinese artists who had fled the persecution of China’s communist regime. Based in New York, the company’s mission is to revive China’s 5,000 years of divinely-inspired culture destroyed by decades of communist rule….
