Missouri attorney general says his office and two other agencies are investigating a St. Louis transgender clinic for allegedly “harming hundreds of children.”
The investigation began two weeks ago after a whistleblower made “shocking allegations” about gender-transitioning practices at The Washington University Transgender Center at St. Louis Children’s Hospital, Attorney General Andrew Bailey said in a news release.
The center’s website says transgender-identifying youths can expect “gender-affirming care” that may include puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and “surgical referrals.” Attempts to obtain comment from the hospital were unsuccessful. Bailey said he kept the probe under wraps until Feb. 9, when whistleblower Jamie Reed went public with some of her accusations in an article entitled,  “I Thought I Was Saving Trans Kids. Now I’m Blowing the Whistle.” She is calling for a national halt to the procedures. As The Epoch Times reported earlier, after reading Reed’s “sickening account,” U.S. Sen.
