Australian rugby player and bobsledder Simon Dunn has died suddenly at 35 years of age, officials have confirmed.
Dunn, reportedly the first openly gay man to represent any country in bobsleighing, was found dead in his Sydney apartment on Jan. 21, New South Wales (NSW) Police confirmed.
The circumstances surrounding his death are not being treated as suspicious, according to police.
“About 10 a.m. on Saturday, January 21, 2023, police were called to a unit on Crown Street, Surry Hills, after reports the body of a man had been found inside,” police said in a statement to multiple outlets. “The body is believed to be that of the 35-year-old occupant. Officers from Surry Hills Police Area Command have commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding his death, which is not being treated as suspicious.”…
