The World Economic Forum (WEF) is once again hosting the annual Davos Summit in Switzerland. For the highly influential and ultrawealthy people of the world, it’s THE place to get together, hobnob, exchange investment ideas, hit the ski slopes, and drink champagne.
At least, that used to be my perception. But the WEF is much more than that. By all appearances, it’s the most influential, if not the most powerful, organization in the world. It’s run by 84-year-old Klaus Schwab, a man who, in most circumstances, would be more at home on a golf course if not in a retirement community rather than directing an organization with an undeniably outsized global influence….
