Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee signed into law a bill that prevents transgender biological male students from participating in women’s and girls’ sports in middle and high schools. Lee completed the final step in the passage of the bill just one day after Arkansas’s governor signed a similar bill. This makes the Volunteer State the third state in the nation to sign such a bill this year. “I signed the bill to preserve women’s athletics and ensure fair competition.
