David Bernstein, founder and CEO of the Jewish Institute for Liberal Values and author of “Woke Antisemitism: How a Progressive Ideology Harms Jews,” says “woke” ideology, or cancel culture, stops discourse and breeds new forms of antisemitism.
A major cause of the new wave of prejudice is the fear of being ostracized for opposing the social justice ideology, which causes most people to self-censor, he said.
“Americans are self-censoring at rates higher than they were during the McCarthy era in the United States,” Bernstein said during a recent interview for EpochTV’s “American Thought Leaders” program.
