As COVID infections sweep through China unchecked for weeks, the Chinese communist regime hasn’t had a plan to control the new wave of outbreak. Meanwhile, it has stopped counting infections nationwide or sharing data with the World Health Organization. The regime rejected the international community’s offer to help while downplaying the severity of the new infections.
Since China’s ruling Communist party (CCP)’s suddenly lifted its “zero-COVID” restrictions, a draconian policy it had implemented for 3 years causing countless tragedies and tremendous suffering to Chinese people, reports of widespread infections quickly flooded social media and international media.
No Plan or Preparation
However, the regime’s sudden policy U-turn without a plan left no transition time for the medical system to prepare, while the majority of the patients in this new wave of infections show much more severe symptoms—high fever, cough, and lung infections—than the mild symptoms usually associated with Omicron variants. Hospitals are now facing a lack of ICU beds, ventilators, drug stockpiles, and other health care tools. Funeral homes are overwhelmed. Streets are empty in Chinese cities, despite the lockdown orders having been lifted. Some cities said workers with mild symptoms can continue to go to work, as most people are infected….
