At least 38 people have been killed, and hundreds of thousands have been left without power this Christmas as a massive winter storm continues to sweep through the United States and parts of Canada, bringing with it blizzards, flash floods, and freezing temperatures.
Storm Elliot, is a “once in a generation” storm, according to forecasters, and is being created by a “bomb cyclone“, which refers to the central pressure of a low-pressure system dropping at least 24 millibars within 24 hours; meaning that a storm is intensifying quickly.
