SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.—The votes are still trickling in, but it’s too close to call a winner for the hotly contested Arizona governor’s race.
With about 49 percent of the precincts reporting as of 10:45 p.m. local time in Arizona, Democratic gubernatorial candidate Katie Hobbs led Republican gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake by approximately 170,000 votes. However, the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors said most of the early ballot drops consisted of ballots received by Friday.
With the race too close to call, Lake took the stage at 10 p.m., and told watch partygoers that she was ready to “fight to win,” and, even if it takes hours or days, she’s confident about her chances. She also said her campaign is getting results that in-person voting favored her….
