The local share market has closed higher for a fourth straight day, finishing above the 7000 level for the first time in two and a half weeks ahead of another monthly report on U.S. inflation.
The benchmark S&P/ASX200 index on Tuesday closed up 45.2 points, or 0.65 per cent, to 7009.7. The broader All Ordinaries gained 45.5 points, or 0.63 per cent, to 7253.7.
