In a heartwarming rescue, an officer in New York has adopted a dog she helped save from a hot car in Manhattan.
“This pup will never be neglected again,” NYPD 19th Precinct wrote in a tweet late July.

According to a tweet from June 18, some good Samaritans called 911 after noticing an unattended dog locked in a car on the Upper East Side of Manhattan for over two hours.
The police immediately responded and discovered a distressed dog inside a hot car with windows shut.
