How many Navy admirals, captains, and miscellaneous action officers on the Navy staff does it take to run a 30-year spreadsheet on the projected size of the U.S. Navy? Well apparently, either not enough or too many are involved at this point. Either way, the end number of the expanded U.S. Navy changes every time someone makes a coffee run to the Pentagon food court.
Perhaps this is an elaborate deception operation to confuse China’s People’s Liberation Army Navy (PLAN). The PLAN is probably convinced this is some diabolical scheme to obfuscate and that the real Navy plan and numbers are hidden in Area 51; I say this only half tongue in cheek. The sad truth is, I’ve never seen such a hapless staff exercise before. Admiral Michael Gilday, please intervene at your earliest convenience once your reading list is purged of wokeness….
