The pending report from special counsel John Durham, who was tasked with investigating the origins of the FBI’s Trump-Russia probe, should be released to the public, demanded Senate Republicans in a letter this week. More than 40 GOP senators, including Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), signed a letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland asking that Durham, a former U.S. attorney, should be allowed to continue his investigation and his report released to the public. There have been questions about whether Durham’s investigation will lack funding past the end of the federal government’s fiscal year on Sept. 30.
