The largest drinking water settlement in American history was just reached for $10.3 billion. Chemical manufacturer 3M Co. has to pay out the money over a case in Stuart, Florida, for allegations that it had polluted the local drinking water with “forever chemicals.” Those are chemicals that don’t easily break down in the human body, or in the environment. We speak with Scott Summy who was appointed co-lead for all plaintiffs in the multi-district litigation against 3M and other companies.
