Three police officers are in stable condition late Thursday after they were injured with gunshot wounds in a shootout near downtown Houston, Texas. The Houston Police Department announced Thursday afternoon that three officers had been shot in the 2100 block of McGowen St. Police said officers were responding to a disturbance call at 2:40 p.m. when a chase broke out, and the suspect opened fire on the officers. “The suspect fled the scene in a white Mercedes and is being sought at this time.
